This thought haunted me for years, even after I graduated college.

Just landed a job “in the real world,” working in New York City. I’d be able to see tons. of All day, hot women. Awesome, right?

Wrong. It was torture…

Although I was not a Casanova in college, I was able at least to meet girls through friends and go to parties.

In the real world, things seemed so daunting that they seemed impossible.

Whenever I’d spot a cute girl I wanted to talk to her…but I felt like I was suddenly being held underwater: I gasped for breath. My heart raced. I couldn’t concentrate. I was always thinking. of There were things I should’ve done or said, but I didn’t do a damn thing. I just stood there staring.

I could not approach one girl. So I remained alone. Single. Extremely frustrated. It was getting so bad that it made me fear that I would never get to kiss another girl again.

It was clear to me that I had to get courage and confidence to approach women. I therefore began to research ways to do so. (If you didn’t know, I’m a big nerd.)

The Psychology and the self-While help books were useful when I read them, once a pretty girl passed by, it was a complete waste of time. My confidence and courage went out the window once more.

Then, I met “Tony.”

Tony was a fellow construction worker that I passed every morning on the way to work. Each day, he was there waiting with a cup of coffee every morning at 8:47 am. He was waiting for his cup of A glazed doughnut and coffee ready to bark at any female passing by.

Tony was a loudmouth that would make morning commuters scream, but I secretly admired him.

I wished I had complete inhibition when talking to women, regardless of how beautiful they were.

Finally, I got the courage to ask him one morning.

“Excuse me sir,” I stammered. “Can I ask you something?”

“Name ain’t sir,” He croaked. “It’s Tony. Big Tony to some. But to you just Tony.”

“Okay, Tony… I just really respect how you…you know…greet women.”

“Greet ’em?” Tony sneered. “I hit on ’em!”

“Exactly!” I exclaimed, “How do you get up the nerve to do that?”

Tony snorted and took a pen out of my front pocket. He then wrote 12 words on a napkin. He took the napkin and rolled it up, then he stuffed it into his pocket. “There ya go. There’s how I get up my nerve.”

When I took out the napkin, I felt almost as though I had cast a spell.

All my Fear and Anxiety seemed to fly out of My Body

I began to giggle in the middle of the night. of 31st Street, as I realized how powerful and obvious Tony’s words were.

If I feel an inkling, it is still today. of Anxiety or hesitation when approaching an attractive woman? I remind myself. of These are 12 words. These 12 words inspire me to be more approachable every day.

I felt more confident and decided to try all things when it came time to approach women. I took in all the advice I could. I met any woman who was not running from me. I decided nothing—and I mean NOTHING—was going to stop me from dating gorgeous women.

This eventually led me to my partner-In-crime, Zack.

Zack and I met at a dive bar, doing the same thing every night back then: we were hitting on babes.

The bar was rocked by a shouting match. Although I couldn’t understand what was happening, I could hear a girl slapping the face. of Some large, shaggy, and slender-haired dude.

The The entire bar was frozen. The Music went silent. The The world seemed not to be moving, just waiting to see what the shaggy transformation would look like-The haired guy was going…
