This course will feature LIVE teachings, interactive sessions, experiential practices, and Q&A with Robert. Each session will build harmoniously upon the previous ones, so you’ll develop a complete holistic understanding of the practices, tools, and principles you’ll need to delve deeply into the full-length 4 Cycles Qigong practice, refining the form each week.

Module 1: Cycle 1 — “Supporting the Sky, Raising the Earth” to Improve Posture, Ease Back Pain & Establish a Strong Foundation for Your Qigong Practice (May 14)

As you begin your journey, Robert will introduce 4 Cycles Qigong and focus on the first cycle, which is about extending your energy upwards and downwards, as if connecting Heaven and Earth.

This opening movement helps improve posture, alleviate back pain, and establish a strong foundational stance.

Robert will explain how to cultivate a sense of self-empowerment through the activation of what he calls the 4 Golden Wheels — the three dantians and the central meridian.

Learn how to identify these four energy centers in your body, and discuss how you can expand the central meridian to connect with the infinite energy of the Universe.

In this first module, you’ll explore:

  • The basic principles of Qigong, including the dantians, central meridian, and more
  • Robert’s demonstration of collecting the Qi
  • Practicing the Swordfinger mudra to combine the Earth’s Qi with Heaven’s Qi, then blending it with human Qi and the 3 dantians

Module 2: Cycle 2 — “Five Damages, Seven Harms, Looking Back” for Cultivating Flexibility & Coordination as You Balance Your Nervous System (May 21)

Robert will guide you through the second of the 4 Cycles, “Five Damages, Seven Harms, Looking Back” to enhance flexibility and coordination, and bring balance to the nervous system — aiding in the release of built-up tension.

Learn how, by extension of your central meridian and spinal energy, you can refresh your energy and create a strong protective Qi field.

Robert will also introduce twisting and bending movements to stimulate the spine and internal organs.

When you twist and bend in Qigong, you’re reconnecting your mind with your body and releasing stress. These movements send fresh oxygenated blood around the body and up to the brain while gently opening up your spine, back, and shoulders.

In this module, you’ll explore:

  • moving meditation to twist your spine and central meridian together
  • The second of the 4 Cycles, “Five Damages, Seven Harms, Looking Back”
  • How practicing balance with Qigong can keep you young
  • Why the fountain of youth is found in your kidneys with the Melt the Snowy Mountain visualization

Module 3: Cycle 3 — “Opening the Window to Admire the Moon, Drive Away Fire From the Heart” for Breathing More Deeply & Managing Anxiety and Stress (May 28)

Robert will guide you to explore lateral stretching and stance work, moving through the third of the 4 Cycles, “Opening the Window to Admire the Moon, Drive Away Fire From the Heart.”

This movement opens up the chest and lateral body lines, encouraging deeper breathing and promoting an emotional release that can help manage stress and anxiety.

Learn how the concept of energetic heat indicates an imbalance of emotions that results in anxiety and anger. Robert will share a movement to help you get rid of this emotional imbalance — and why it’s important to be open to receiving.

In this module, you’ll explore:

  • The “Opening the Window to Admire the Moon, Drive Away Fire From the Heart” movement to stand with more strength and resilience as you calm the mind
  • pushing Qigong movement to “open the window”
  • Eagle Claw, a pulling Qigong movement to grasp and move energy
  • Combining the bow/lunge stance and breathing to build up a Qi field that can calm your mind
  • How to breathe more deeply to feel confident and peaceful

Module 4: Cycle 4 — “Catching Emptiness, Striking at Emptiness, the Strength Will Not Give Out,” for Developing Precision, Cultivating Vitality & Boosting Your Immune System (June 4)

Robert will share exercises — including the last of the 4 Cycles — to build muscle strength, improve Qi circulation, and enhance overall body awareness and coordination.

You’ll practice punching/grabbing nothing to increase your strength and work with your internal Qi, focusing on developing precision, power, and intention in your movements.

In this module, you’ll explore:

  • Punching and grabbing the air movement for cultivating vitality
  • Connecting with your Guardian Qi to support the immune system
  • Becoming more capable at navigating life’s difficult situations
  • Training your core of energy in the lower dantian
  • The horse stance, to punch and build up an abundance of vital Qi

Module 5: Refinement & Integration Session for Improving Your Mind-Body-Spirit Connection (June 11)

With all 4 Cycles introduced, Robert will now guide you to refine and integrate all of the movements.

You’ll deepen your practice and begin to link them together into a single seamless flow, enhancing the mind-body-spirit connection.

In this module, you’ll explore:

  • Additional fun variations on the 4 Cycles
  • Twisting the eye and face of the fist movement for enriching the tendons

Module 6: Complementary Techniques for Deepening Your 4 Cycles Qigong Practice (June 18)

As you become more comfortable with 4 Cycles Qigong, Robert will introduce complementary techniques for enriching your practice.

These techniques include meditation, breathing exercises, and self-care massage to amplify your practice and provide tools for self-healing.

In this module, you’ll explore:

  • How to protect yourself and your energy
  • Nourish the Qi with self-care massage
  • Use the energy from your fingertips to care for your brain and head

Module 7: Create a Plan for Mastery & Daily Practice (June 25)

During the final week of the course, you’ll aim to achieve a level of mastery in 4 Cycles Qigong and create a daily practice routine.
